TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter) is a free text and call service specifically for the blue collar industry designed to make speaking to a counsellor as easy as possible. We've partnered with them to make the service available through the SignOnSite app.

How to access TIACS through SignOnSite

The TIACS service is available through current version of SignOnSite and SignOnSite 2.0. To access the TIACS service, simply:

Scroll down to the TIACS banner in the Menu screen
From here, you will see a splash screen with information on the service, as well as a text and call button

After successfully launching their social enterprise workwear company TradeMutt, founders Ed and Dan saw a great need to remove the barriers that prevented hard working Australians from accessing professional mental health counselling.

TIACS removes the physical and financial barriers to accessing help through a simple text and call service directly to professional counsellors.

How do you access the TIACS feature on the SignOnSite app?

Is the service completely confidential?

This is a completely confidential service. When you first make contact, the counsellor will explain what informed consent is about and you can choose to continue or not. TIACS want to make sure you are totally comfortable and understand how they keep your information safe. SignOnSite does not store or collect any information relating to this service.

Does the service cost anything?

There are no costs involved for anyone that chooses to utilise this service. TIACS receives funding from individuals and businesses in the industry which allows them to be able to offer free counselling. They are not government funded. All funding is “by industry for industry”.

Why is SignOnSite partnering with TIACS?

We are incredibly proud to partner with TIACS to make free mental health counselling more accessible to construction workers. The toll that poor mental health takes on the construction industry is immeasurable, and to adequately address health and safety, we, as an industry, have to look at mental health.
